Noida: The joint team from the Ministry of Health in the City and Institute of Delhi-based Heart Sciences and Biliary (ILBS) on Saturday arranged filtering camps in Gaur Sportsswood Society, where some cases of hepatitis A have been reported for two past weeks.
The health team conducts tests at 35 residents, including patients who have been diagnosed with hepatitis or jaundice and their family members.
The team also did fibrossans to find out the extent to which infection in each patient.
Apart from the medical test, officials also collected water samples supplied to households.
While Dr.
Amit Kumar led the camp, Dr.
Nirupama Transhatpati from ILBS collected control samples to be analyzed at the Institute.
The results will be available on Tuesday.
Dr.
Kumar said, “Patients are infected and who have symptoms tested in the camp.”
