After a month, the first dose of Covaxin from today

Gurgaon: The city will continue the first dose of Covaxin in government centers from Wednesday after a gap for more than a month.
The last time anyone in Gurgaon received Covaxin’s first Jambuan on June 30.
As a supply of thinly produced Bharat Biotech vaccines, the session for the first dose has been postponed.
On Monday, the city has received fresh stock from vaccines – around 10,000 doses.
At present, it has around 19,000 covaxin doses.
Although only five session sites, at Chauma, Sikarpur, Ullawaa, Paspal Paspal Vihar and Bangali, will manage the first shot on Wednesday, availability tends to increase in the coming days.
“We hope to receive more covaxin doses soon.
In July, there were 22,844 people who were due to their second shot and we had, therefore, stopping the first dose.
According to our data, 14,000 people are due to their second dose at Government location, “said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
The city has provided 18.68,657 Jab so far – 14,35,476 first dose and 4.33,181 second dose.
A total of 1.53,208 shots were the first dose of Covaxin while 1.07.082 was the second dose of Covaxin.
The recipient said the arrival of fresh stock was a big relief.
“I have waited more than a month now to get Covaxin.
Even though it is available on private sites, I have little trust in them when it comes to vaccination,” said Gautam Mishra, a resident of sector 88.
Drive vaccination will be carried out on Wednesday at 50 sites Government session, 41 of them will be for Covishield, seven for Covaxin and one for Sputnik V.
on Tuesday, 14,111 people in the age group 18-44 and 2,860 people in the category 45-plus inoculated.
A total of 347 health staff and 203 frontline workers also received Jab.
Overall, 17,521 jab – 11,955 the first dose and 5.566 second dose – administered.
While 8,785 people were inoculated on the government session site, 8,736 shot in private centers.
