Ranchi: The day after Ally BJP Ajsu-P wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was looking for a caste-based census in the country, the politers of the powerful alliance JMM and Congress also joined the choir for head-count to register the national population 2021.
JMM Central Secretary General Supriyo Bhattacharjee said, “We support the caste-based census.
The union government is afraid to do that, because such exercises will reveal that the cream layer of the community, which consists of brahmins, rajput and others, holds a maximum representation in the position of power and pie greater than Government work.
By stating that JMM will protest to demand a caste-based census, Bhattacharjee added, “Worried of the census like that will let the cat out of the bag, the center refused to do it.” The Congress was also strengthened behind the caste-based census.

Although the national census has not been carried out on the caste line, the center has actually conducted a separate socio-economic caste census but did not make its public findings for several reasons, “Jharkhand Congress Alok Dubey spokesman claimed.
Last week, the head of Ajsu-P Sudesh Mahto had written To Modi demanded a caste-based census.
In his letter, Mahto claims that it does not hold a caste-based census will mean that the real picture of backward classes will not be known and in turn, will result in disabled implementation of social justice and social welfare schemes.
