Panaji: The President on Tuesday appointed Polar Seedharan as Governor of Goa.
Pillai, who is currently the Governor of Mizoram, is a former president of the State from Kerala BJP.
With the promise of Pillai, Goa received a full time governor after almost a year.
After the full governor last time, Satya Pal Malik, was transferred to Meghalaya, Governor Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari was given an additional allegation of last year’s country.
Malik, who is the Governor of the State of Jammu and Kashmir who used to be before reorganization, became popular in Goa, and proactive and outstanding about some relevant problems, including the error handling the state government over the Covid-19 crisis during the first wave.
He has warned CM Pramod Sawant that New Delhi keeps close to the Covid Goa situation, and suggests Sawant to “pull his socks”.
