New Delhi: Following the announcement of the revocation of three agricultural laws by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, farmers at the Ghazipur border have welcomed the decision and told the difficulties they face during protests.
Speaking to Ani, a farmer, Chaudhary Raj Singh, 99 years old, said he was involved in protests at the Ghazipur border from the first day.
He just came home for his grandson’s last rite, immediately returned to the protest site.
Singh further said that they were asked to empty the protest site, but they showed courage and did not move.
He also said that they suffered because of the weather and winter.
Farmers also noted that he had never seen such a movement, even though he was part of many people.
Other farmers, Om Raj Singh were 85 years old, Moradabad District, said he was involved in movement from the first day.
He told Ani that during his son’s movement was sick but he could not set aside a lot of time.
Sarabjit Singh has done ‘Bhandara’ from Lakhimpur Kheri.
He said many rations were destroyed because of rain and storm during protests.
Farmers throughout India also welcomed the central announcement to revoke three agricultural laws and demanded law to be formed guaranteeing the minimum support price (MSP).

Parliament must immediately give legal revocation,” another farmer told Ani.
Farmers in Noida, Uttar Pradesh called it the victory of farmers.
