New Delhi: After Apple and Samsung, Google is the latest company that must be removed with a charger in a box.
Previously, this month Google dropped the teaser for the 6th Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 smartphone.
Google confirms that both smartphones will be powered by specially made chipsets and will launch this fall.
Now, the company has revealed that the two upcoming smartphones will be sent without charging in the box.
Confirming to Verge, Google said, “Most people already have a brick charging USB-C, so there is no need to enter one with the phone.” Before going to Google, Apple and Samsung both have made the same settings.
Apple sent the iPhone 12 series without charger in the box and Samsung did the same as the Galaxy S21 series.
Both Apple and Samsung claim that it is an environmentally friendly decision because it will reduce e-waste.
However, we really can’t ignore direct cost savings for brands.
Apart from Apple and Samsung, Xiaomi’s Chinese smartphone maker also began to remove chargers from the box starting with the MI series 11.
Recently, Google launched a medium-distance 5A Pixel smartphone in the US and Japan.
This smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G OCTA-core processor and it comes with the Titan M security module for security on the device.
The device packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
It runs the Android 11 operating system and guaranteed users will get at least three years of software improvement.
