NEW DELHI: Chetan Kumar Cheetah, a CRPF commandant who sustained multiple bullet injuries in a gun battle with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir at 2017 and lived, is fighting for life after analyzing Covid-positive.
Dr Sushma Bhatnagar, chairperson of all Covid providers in National Cancer Institute (NCI) at Jhajjar, Haryana, that will be conducted by AIIMS, told TOI that the subsequent 48 hours were crucial.
“He’s presently on ventilator.
Besides anti-microbial treatment, we’re administering antibiotics to deal with the secondary bacterial disease.
Additionally, he needs medications to keep the blood pressure,” she explained.
Cheetah was commanding officer (CO) of CRPF’s 45th battalion at Kashmir Valley at February 2017 if he suffered several bullet injuries in the mind, straight eye, stomach, both arms, both left hand and also at the buttock area, while combating with terrorists.
The physicians at AIIMS Trauma Centre conducted multiple surgeries to rescue him .

He was discharged in April 2017, also in 2018 he moved back to responsibility.

“He’s a fighter.
We’re optimistic he’ll rebound back to recover from the crucial period again,” explained a physician posted in NCI Jhajjar.
Cheetah was hurried into AIIMS on May 9 without complaints of reduced oxygen saturation after testing positive.
Originally, he had been retained from the ICU on oxygen service.
The doctors said his condition was improved using antibacterial treatment, however there was a surprising rust on Sunday.
“We’re doing whatever possible, however he remains crucial,” one of those physicians said.
“We’ve got a group of physicians and nurses.
It’s heartening to see talk about saving the life span of their CRPF commandant, that struggled for the nation,” he further added.
