After being rejected by tickets, head ‘Gulabi Gang’ stopped from Congress

Chitrakoot: Commander Gulabi Gang ‘Sampat Pal on Sunday said he had resigned from the Congress because his party denied the ticket for the next assembly election at Uttar Pradesh.
Holding the leaders of the State Congress and Direct Observers responsible for denying their passes, Pal said he would notify the ‘internal politics’ to the Top Brass Congress in New Delhi.
PAL has been fighting for the polls of the Assembly of the Manikpur chair at the Congress ticket in the 2012 and 2017 polls.
While he only secured 2,203 votes in the 2012 poll, he pocketed 40,524 votes in 2017 when he was the Allied Candidate SP Congress.
Congress, this time, has replaced it with Ranjana Bhartilal Pandey.
Pal runs a female organization called ‘Gulabi Gang’.
The 2014 Bollywood film ‘Gulaiab Gang’ shows Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, is widely considered inspired by Pal and its organization.
