New Delhi: R values that reflect how quickly the Coronavirus pandemic spreads, has increased sharply close to 1.2 for the past two weeks, mainly driven by cases in the state of Kerala and Maharashtra, the researchers said.
R values are calculated between August 24-29 established at 1.17 as against 0.89 between August 14-17, according to researchers at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai.
The increase in value-r came after a stable decline in the case of the first half of August in this country.
“Until then (August 30), the situation looked very bad.
