Kanpur: To Zero-in at Rohingya and Bangladesh, City Police have found 16 suspicious people living in various bags in the southern city area.
As long as it is questioned, people suspected of identifying themselves as native residents of the Barpeta district from Assam.
After getting their basic details, the police have now contacted the State Police Assam and tried to verify the names, addresses, their relatives, and other information related to them.
To remember, with the arrest of two al-Qaeda terrorists in the state of the state (Lucknow) by ATS, some surprising revelations have occurred during their investigations and strings found to be connected to Kanpur.
The investigator has found suspects living in the bank and other areas in South Kanpur.
Furthermore, the police launched a big boost to zero to Rohingya and Bangladesh and their activities.
Police Commissioner Asim Kumar Arun has directed his subordinates to launch a verification campaign of foreign nationals living in the city to nail anti-national elements, if any.
During the investigation, police were asked to identify allegations in addition to verifying their identity card.
Drive produced results after the South City Police focused on 16 suspects in the Machariya area in Naubasta and other closest pockets.
“During the urge of identification, the suspects showed their Aadhar card researchers and other documents that mention their address in the Barpeta district of Assam,” said a senior police officer.
Police Commissioner said documents, police Assam was contacted to get their credentials crossed.
“If their documents are found fake, the action will begin against them,” he added.
