Ambala / Kurukshetra / Yamiranagar: The farmers who protested on Saturday blocked all highways and toll roads in the Ambala division including Ambala District, Kurukshetra and YambaniTagar after they demanded them.
However, when some Karnal District farmers were arrested after Lathi’s charge by police Haryana, Charuni gave a call to continue protests outside at 5 pm, until they were arrested released.
In a short time the call by Charuni and SKM, farmers began to gather and immediately, block NHS and state highways at all major intersections in the Ambala division.
The road traffic is largely disturbed and the police ask commuters by car and two-wheeled cars to take alternative routes while heavy vehicles including trucks, bars and others are stuck in jam in several places.
A large number of commuters with cars are also stuck on the blockade.
In Ambala, Punjab farmers and Haryana together blocked NH-44 (Panipat-Jalandhar-Amritsar) at Devi Nagar Toll Plaza Village on the Border of Shambhu and NH-152 (Chandigarh-raisar) in Saini Majra Village Toll Plaza.
In Kurukshetra, the farmers blocked the NH-44 in Shahabad in front of the police station and in the village of Umri, NH-152 in Thana Village Toll Plaza, near Karah Sahib and Tikri village in Pehowa and Kurukshetra-Saharanpur Road in the city of Ladwa.
In Yamunanagar, the farmers blocked the NH-344 (Ambala-Rookee) near the intersection of Kail Village on the highway.
In Kurukshetra in Shahabad, the farmers said, “The Government of Bharatiya Janata (BJP) in Haryana today reminded them of the JALLIANWALA BAGH slaughter when people who were not disputed brutally slaughtered by Britain and also, Haryana police demanded by farmers in Bastara .

“The farmers determined themselves to continue the road blockade until those arrested by police in Karnal was released.
