After petrol, diesel crosses Rs 100-mark in Rajasthan city

NEW DELHI: With fuel prices rising for the 23rd time since May 4, petrol and diesel rates across many states have risen to historic highs.
After petrol, diesel prices crossed Rs 100-mark in a city in Rajasthan as oil marketing companies (OMCs) raised fuel prices yet gain on Saturday.
Sri Ganganagar, a small city in northernmost part of Rajasthan has become the first city in the country where retail prices of both petrol and diesel have now breached the Rs 100-mark.
The city already had the distinction of having the highest pump price of petrol across the country at Rs 107.23 a litre.
With diesel prices increasing by another 25 paisa per litre, it is now priced at Rs 100.06 a litre.
