The government has set a one-month deadline for sending reports.
Desai putting aside the role of the government in the Tender Quotation Agreement carried out between MSMC and Mahagenco.
Patole has accused irregularities in the tender process by MSMC in the appointment of Rukhmai infrastructure for Beneficiations (washing) 2 million metric tons (MMT) coal per year.
MSM General Manager Premchand Tembhare told the Toi that the intention was issued to the company in the first week of June.
“The company has been asked not to start working until further decisions from the government,” he said.
Mahagenco has asked MSMC to lift 22 mmt coal per year from WCl, SECL and MCL mine, wash and supply to seven thermal power stations (TPS) – Chandrapur, Koradi, Khaparkheda, Nashik, Bhusawal, Marri and Paras.
On Saturday, activist Prashant Pawar alleged irregularities in the appointment of rear energy and coal benefit ltd (biaspur) and ACB (India) by MSMC for Beneficiation 17.58 MMT coal in November 2019.
The actual work began in March this year.
“Mahagenco is used to get coal washed from a private agent.
Now, Mahagenco has asked MSMC to do it, which is suspicious,” he said.
According to activists, MSMC revised the tender conditions to provide contracts to these companies.
“Reject coal is 15% permitted without any analysis.
Agents have been allowed to use coal reject at RS310-610 per metric ton while prices in the open market are around RS3,000 per metric ton.
Five types of work are beaten into one rather than separate tenders,” He said.
Denied all allegations, MSMC Chairman Ashish Jaiswal said, “The Court and the Government Committee has provided canto cleanliness to this tender.
If anyone objects, they must submit a complaint with the forum or case of the appropriate file in court.
We have started a job with interest Greater than the government, the electricity and environmental sectors, “he said.
