Lucknow: With the withdrawal of the monsoon flow, the rainy season has officially ended in the city and the country on Saturday.
Although overall rainfall in four main months of the month – June, July, August and September – almost normal in the state, it is lacking in many western part.
The total rainfall above is 5% below normal.
While the east rose, consisting of 42 districts, received 3% on normal rain, 33 districts in the West recorded 21% less than normal rainfall.
In Lucknow, rainfall is 2% above normal.
Against normal 704.4mm, the city received 720.4 mm.
Most of the rainfall in Lucknow occurred in September.
Chitrakoot is the stasher district in the state with 92% above normal rainfall from June 1 to September 30, while Pilibhit is the most dried with a 57% rain deficit below normal.
