Noida: Sector Underpass 71, which has missed four deadlines, is likely to be thrown into traffic on September 20, officials said.
The next locking and permission from Metro Delhi above the Metro pillar around the Underpass has delayed the project for Long.Officials said that most underpasses have been placed, except for the remaining 150 meters stretching.
Even though the work has been accelerated so that the project sticks to the fifth deadline, the rain and the next effect on construction is the cause of worries, officials recognize.
780 meters, six underpass lines, which will cost an additional RS 6.7 Crore from the previous budget RS 52 Crore because of the delay, will facilitate the movement of traffic from the Metro Station downtown Wave to the Parthala Roundabout Via Sector 52 and from sectors 72- 79 to Ghaziabad.
“We usually cover 25 meters from stretches in one day, but can be increased with more workers at work.
At this level, we hope that all stretches are ready in about 5-6 days.
However, rain is a problem.
Lately.
Lately , heavy shower has affected work.
Cleaning dirt and starting work takes time.
The plan is to formalize underpasses between 15 and 20 September, “said Mukesh Vaish, a senior manager in Authority.
The remaining 150 meters already have three layers in place.
The fourth and upper layer is left placed.
“On Sundays too, the underpass floods.
Water is removed using a pump.
We accelerate the work on Monday, but the rain falls again in the afternoon.
We try our best to complete the work on time,” Vaish said.
The official claimed there would be no flooding on stretching so underpass was ready.
The heavy sump has also been installed on the site to pump water.
Underpass has long postponed the residents of the closest sectors, such as 51, 52, 61, 62, 7x and so on.
Residents have requested a smooth access to the Parthala Roundabout and the 7x sector without having to take an elevated path.
But it took a long time to get permission from the DMRC for the Metro pillar, where underpass was being built.
In July, the Safety Commissioner Metro Rail had given ahead to Noida authorities to start working around the pillar.
Authorities have been asked not to use heavy machines or earthmovers around the Metro pillar while completing work on the remaining stretches.
