Gurgaon: Nearly three years after the construction began in January 2019, U-Litan Underpass four lanes near the Ambience Mall at Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, opened for commuters on Sunday.
Underpass, officials said, will be officially opened for the public “if all sequential” during the trial period which tends to continue until Diwali.
The National Highway Authority (NHAI) has missed several deadlines, including October 15, which was announced by the Minister of Transportation Union Nitin Gadkari, to launch a project that tried to cut an additional 4 kilometers to Rajokri in Delhi to take u-rilit to get to the Ambience mall , DLF Phase-3 and adjacent areas.

The second structure was built as part of it – Round U which was elevated in Shankar Chowk – opened for commuting in November last year.
After fully functioning, officials hope that underpass will not only reduce commuter trips using the structure but also from those traveling from Gurgaon to Delhi by reducing traffic congestion on the Sirhaul border.
