Patiala: The day after the controversy intensified the viral video from the former IPS officer Mohammad Mustafa for the alleged comments of a community and threat to AAP workers, Malerkotla police on Sunday posted him to promote disharmony, hostility, and hatred between different religious groups and races.
Mustafa, an advisor to Punjab PCC Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has served as a DGP ranking officer in the state, is a candidate for Malkotla Congress and the Cabinet Minister Sultana Raids.
The case against Mustafa has been registered with Malerkotla City 1 police station under the Section 153 A IPC (promoting hostility between various groups on the reasons for religious races, place of birth or residence) and section 125 of the representation of the People Law (promoting hostility) between classes in connection with selection).
Sho City 1 Malerkotla Harjinder Singh said the case was registered based on the video.
FIR stated that in the video, Mustafa, in all hatred, it was seen dealing with congressional collection and the same thing could promote hostility between two groups.
The police started the video autency.
Malerkotla SSP Ravjot Kaur said, “The team was formed to carry out further processes, including Mustafa’s arrest”.
Mustafa presented a notification by Malerkotla officers who returned on Friday after the party candidate rival AAP Jamil, Rehman had submitted a complaint with election officials in this matter.
Rehman has claimed that Mustafa, has a habit of playing communal cards, on Thursday late at night when campaigning for his wife and targeting a particular community and threatening AAP workers saying that he will defeat them with a broom (also a PAP symbol) in their home.
Jasbir Singh, officers returned Malerkotla, said, “Mustafa presented a notification of viral video clips he answered and was asked to give him a CD from a video clip”.
Mustafa and Sultana cannot be contacted for comments.
