Ahmedabad: After 82-day high in the number of cases everyday at 34 on Thursday, Gujarat saw a decline of 59% to 14 on Friday.
This number is the lowest level of 11 days for the country.
After almost a week, the country recorded a higher number of patients dumped than a new daily case in 17.
The number of active cases remained above 200 at 212.
New cases including four of the city of Vadodara, each from the City of Letters and Valsad, two from Kutch, and each from the city of Ahmedabad and Junagadh.
The city accounted for 57% of the case of the day and 41% of the release.
Because of the celebration, the vaccination number of the day was nosed to 90.161 on Friday, one of the lowest in the past.
Experts say vaccination tends to remain slow during a long weekend.
