Nagpur: The police have begun to investigate a pathologist at Hasan Bagh following the complaint submitted by the Nagpur Branch of Indian Medical Association (IMA).
According to IMA, laboratory technicians use false degrees and MBBS and MD certificates to operate, and have no authority to sign the pathology report and run the lab full path.
The police said they had found gross irregularities in the person’s papers and certificates, but had not submitted the first information report (FIR) and ordered it in the relevant section.
Nagpur President Dr.
Sanjay Deotale told the Ti that a senior pathologist from the city saw that someone who used to work in his laboratory as a technician had started his own lab in North Nagpur.
The doctor told the IMA headquarters that the person could become a fake doctor.
After the initial inquiry, Ima filed a complaint to the Nagpur police.
“In our complaint, the police commissioner began an investigation.
It was revealed that the person had used a false qualification certificate.
According to the rules, only MD pathologists who can sign reports in any lab.
This person has signed a report without becoming a Pathologist MD, who oppose the law , “said Dr.
Deotale.
The investigation officer of the case to the Toi that the prime facie seems to be a fake doctor.
“However, because the person claimed that he had several degrees in health science from a university in Chhattisgarh, we must ask before submitting FIR,” the officer said.
IMA members claim that the person does not have the right degree or qualification, and will immediately face the main legal actions.
Toi tried to contact pathologists on all numbers mentioned at the letterhead but no response.
The three labs mentioned in the letterhead were closed on Tuesday.
“He is a Diploma in Diploma.
Now, it has a certificate of Bogus MBBS from Chhattisgarh.
This case can reveal large fraud and even a false degree racket.
With IMA support, we will pursue this problem,” said the doctor.
