Activision might be thinking to be easy on the call of release duty every year and can get rid of the annual release schedule from the first person shooter series, according to the report by Bloomberg.
Even though no one has resolved, the US-based game company is talking at a high level, the report said.
Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest game in franchises, has performed poorly in terms of sales as a whole and according to the report, employees in the company have the view that the launch needs to be distributed more to maintain and revive interest in the players around the world.
Because the Call of Duty is one of the best known gaming franchises, it should not hurt the company if planning to get out of launch, because it has other large gaming franchises as well as World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, etc.
And popular games like Candy Crush.
According to the report, Activision Blizzard can begin with the new rules to drop the call of the task launched from next year itself.
Activision Blizzard was recently acquired by Microsoft in its biggest acquisition with $ 68.7 billion, which also made the biggest deal in the history of the game.
The agreement with Activision Blizzard is greater than the acquisition of LinkedIn $ 26 billion Microsoft.
It also broke the record set by the take-two interactive acquisition of Zynga cellular game publisher for more than $ 11 billion.
With this acquisition, Microsoft now has the right to publish all games made by Activision and subsidiaries as exclusive.
However, Microsoft Gaming Chief Phil Spencer recently said in a tweet that the Call of Duty will remain on the Playstation.
