Ludhiana: Serious Leight Request MC Commissioner Pardeep Sabharwal to the Secretary of the Head of the Chief Head, the Department of Local Punjab, to establish a high-level examination committee for the development, the local body department engineer has requested Ludhiana Municipal Corporation to stop payment if there is a doubt about quality.
The Civic body has also been asked to send certain sampling reports so that the high-level committees can complete their visits to the industrial city to be examined.
In the letter, the head of the engineer said it would be expected that the MC must have all the work done in certain norms and if there is a doubt about the quality of the work, then it must stop the final payment.
In terms of sample failed to test quality, they can recover damage from the final payment.
MC officials have been directed to maintain reports of sample development work.
Officials have been directed to send sample testing reports and certificates about the quality of works above Rs 10 lakh along with the list of construction work to the Chief Engineer office.
The high-level committee will plan a visit according to the report.
As of December 31, 2021, Commissioner MC Pardeep Sabharwal had written a letter to the main secretary, the local body department, who asked him to form a high-level committee for the inspection of sustainable development work to maintain the project.
He said the team had to come and examine the ongoing projects and MC officials would help the team so that public money did not flow.
The Commissioner said he had previously asked the government to get third-party audits for the SMART city mission project too and they hired one.
“Transparency in the development of work must be and we are ready for inspection or audits,” he said, adding that the high level committee came to be examined, everything would be clear.
