New Delhi: Olympic Silver Medal Saikhom Mirabai Chanu on Tuesday said the next target was to win a medal in the 2022 Asian Games and he also aims to change his medal to the Paris Olympics in three years.
Chanu has ended India for two decades of long waiting for a weightlifting medal at the Olympics, reaching the silver medal in the Tokyo Game.
Now back to the country, Chanu said he focused on the Asian Game Gold Medal, which remained the only award lost from his cabinet.
“My target is now asian games, where there is no medal in weightlifting.
I will try our best to bring a medal to India in the weight of the 2022 Asian Games,” Chanu said during a virtual press conference where he was launched as a brand.
