With the Supreme Court on Monday rejecting Anil Deshmukh’s request to seek protection against the arrest, the enforcement directorant hopes that the former Minister of Maharashtra will give up and join the pending money laundering investigation against him.
Ed had a raid on the hiding place which was suspected in the past few months but failed to get Deshmukh who had repeatedly refused to appear in front of the agency.
Agency officers said Deshmukh had to change himself to be questioned, adding that the setback on Monday cleared the road for his arrest if he survived his defiance.
The agency has attached assets worth more than Her 4 crore rs and family members.
