Rawalpindi: The names of 54 members of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistani (TLP) have been removed from the fourth schedule of the anti-terrorism law, 1997, in the Rawalpindi division by the Department of Punjab House.
Citing Sources, Fajar reported that 28 individuals belonged to Rawalpindi Regency, 14 for Chakwal, 11 to Attock and one to Jhelum.
The name Chief of TLP Hafiz Mohammad Saad was removed from the fourth schedule of the Pakistani anti-terror law on Wednesday.
Notification issued by the Department of Punjab House on Wednesday stated that “the name Hafiz Mohammad Saad, becomes Ameer of TLP, an organization that is prohibited, registered in the 4th schedule below the 11-E section on the recommendation of the District Intelligence Committee, Lahore,” Dawn reported .
According to the 1997 anti-terrorism law, anyone whose name was placed on the fourth schedule would definitely notify the police before leaving their permanent residence and after returning.
