Bengaluru: Ramappa Temple, 13th Century Architecture icon and technical miracle that resulted in the UNESCO legacy tag which was coveted three months ago, was the culmination of the presentation given by Telutana government officials at the Sustainable Minister of Tourism and Cultural Conference in Bengaluru.
A special video featuring decorative design and architectural brilliance from the temple was presented during the opening day of the event on Thursday in the presence of the Cultural Union Minister, Tourism and Development of Northeast Region G Kishan Reddy, drew a lot of appreciation from the audience.
Located in Warangal Telangana, the temple stands on a six-foot star-shaped platform with walls, pillars, and ceilings decorated with complicated carvings that prove the unique skulsyan skuling skills.
The two-day conference organized by the Ministry of Tourism tries to give the spotlight on the potential of a larger tourism and the southern cultural heritage, which is described by the Minister as “Treasure Trove”.
Five countries – Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu – and three Union – Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Puducherry and Lakshadweep – Participate in the event are held at Heritage Hotels here.
Overcoming the conference in the first session, Reddy praised the list of Temple Ramappa as the UNESCO World Heritage Site in July, a news that has brought cheers to India in the midst of the tourism industry in the country.

The temple, named after the architect, Ramappa, was proposed by the government as the only nomination for the UNESCO World Heritage Site tag for 2019.
Reddy later said that because of a pandemic, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting could not be done in 2020 and nominees for 2020 and for years 2021 was discussed in a series of online meetings earlier this year.
In his speech during the first session, Telangana Minister Srinivas Gour spent a lot of time emphasizing the ancient beauty, the spiritual value and the splendor of the architecture of the temple that had brought glory and pride in India, with the tourism sector trying to return to his legs.

The Rudresreswara Temple (Ramappa) was built in 1213 AD during the Kakatiya Empire’s reign by Recharla Rudra, General Kakatiya Raja Ganapati Deva.
The god of the temple chairman is Ramalingeswara Swamy, according to information distributed by the Ministry of Culture.
He was also known as the Ramappa temple, after the sculptor who carried out the works of the Temple for 40 years.
