Greater Noida: After the toy garden and ambitious film city, in addition to several other industrial clusters that have been planned around the upcoming Noida International Airport, the Yamuna Expressway authority has decided to develop the ‘city of electric vehicles’ in the region in the region area of 100 hectares .
Authority will move a proposal at the council meeting that will come for project approval.
This land is located in Sector 28.
The Government has introduced a policy that provides relief to employers to manufacture EVs in the state.
After being approved, the officials said, land in sector 28 will be intended to produce spare parts and batteries needed for electronic bicycles, e-becak, electronic passenger vehicles among other items.
The Yeida Board meeting is scheduled for September 14.
This scheme will be called EV City and more land will be introduced in the same sector according to demand.
Delegation of electronic vehicle manufacturers met with the Chief Executive Authority, Arun VIR Singh, a few days ago.
During their discussion, members of the delegation had raised land demand in the Yamuna Expressway area.
“To meet their demand and interest in other manufacturers in Delhi-NCR, we will order a fairly large area in sector 28 for the manufacturer,” Singh said.
Officials said that the government’s approval to develop the city of EV was needed to offer incentives to players who established bases in sector 28.
In 2019, the government came out with electric vehicle manufacturing policies.
About 10 cities, including Noida and Greater Noida, were identified as the city of EV models.
In Gautam Budh Nagar, the government has offered to bear 50% of stamp duty and the replacement of GST countries up to 90%.
In addition, the government will offer capital interest subsidies for five years, exemption in import duty, patent support and certification.
To create electric vehicle demand, registration fee for local-produced vehicles will also be provided.
