New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh people do something new in every election and after the vote based on caste and religion in the past, they are ready to vote based on the problems concerning them this time, said Chhattisgarh Head Bhupesh Baghel.
Baghel, who is a senior polls observer for Congress at Uttar Pradesh, in an interview to PTI said the party would compete in all seats in the state of the upcoming assembly, giving 40 percent of seats for women this time.
Congress will fight the poll under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who has been fearless and aggressively raises community problems in the state, both the problem of farmers, unemployment, price increases or reduced income, or atrocities against Dalit, women and youth, He said.
This will be useful for Congress, senior leaders assert.
He also said that farmers have not forgotten their “insults” in the hands of the BJP government after what happened to them in the last year and more than “700 of them lost their lives”.
They will issue BJP this time, Baghel said.
Groundswell from anger against the BJP will be reflected in the election of Uttar Pradesh, Chief of Chief Chhattisgarh said.
“Uttar Pradesh people do something new in every election.
Uttar Pradesh gives you answers to current questions,” Baghel said.
He said there was time when people chose based on caste, and (Supremo Party Bahujan Samajjo) Mayawati and (President of the Jamajwadi Party) Akhilesh Yadav became the main minister.
They again chose based on religion and BJP, which number four in 2012, emerged as a winner in the 2017 Assembly poll, Baghel said.
“But, Uttar Pradesh people now want to vote on their problems – whether it’s a price increase and reduce income, unemployment, farmers, dalits, youth, employees, women.
Only Congress dealing with this problem and Priyanka Ji has talked about all the problems -The problem is in party promises, “he said.
The Congress leader acknowledged that in the last election, people rejected the coalition and the Congress-Samajwadi party combining severe loss because of anti-farmers from the government of Akhilesh Yadav.
But, now, everyone is fighting differently and all have different agendas.
However, no one handles people’s problems, Baghel said.
Only Priyanka Gandhi handles problems, both about farmers, employees or art and crafts and local industries from various regions, he said.
Asked whether opposition voting would be shared with all parties who fought separately, he said, “the opposition’s voice will not be divided.
Those who do not like Akhilesh Yadav or (ministerial chairman) Yogi Adityanath, will choose Congress.” The leader of the senior Congress notes that people are not connected with only one party and say if someone sees a trip from 2012 to 2022, there are plenty of ups and downs, and they have vote on various problems.
“We have seen several combinations also playing – both Dalit-Brahmin, Yadav-Muslim, experimenting with religion, and based on caste.
But they (people) feel they don’t get anything from it,” he said, “he said, added that They will choose those who enhance their problems this time.
He said under Priyanka Gandhi, the party moved forward while taking the problem of lay people and he had helped Congress emerged as a third alternative before Adityanath and Yadav.
Baghel noted that Groundswell for agricultural law and agitation Farmers are very alive and they will choose BJP.
“Farmers will not forget what happens to them and will choose BJP.
The government has obtained the difference in the problem of ‘Ghamandi Chehra’ (arrogant face) for the issue of agricultural law.
(Prime Minister Narendra) Modi Ji did not work anymore and BJP was being beaten in every state, “he said.
Asked about the prospect of the congress in the next assembly election round, including in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Punjab, Baghel said it would support the Congress Party and Some good results will come out.
