San Franciso: A big 6 earthquake jerks both sides of the California-Nevada border, throwing large stones onto a large road and feels as far as Las Vegas and even San Francisco, with the days of predictable aftershocks, the authorities said.
The earthquake was not long before 4pm, Thursday centered south of Lake Tahoe near Walker, a rural community from several hundred households at Sierra Nevada Timur.
There is no large damage or the injury reported, said the authorities.
It was followed by dozens of aftershocks, including at least half a dozen 4 or higher, according to US geological surveys.
“The land trembled very badly, and then everything began to fall,” Carolina Estrada said, the manager at the Walker Coffee Company.
Broken syrup bottle, the plate fell to the ground and the shop roof gave up a little.
Vibration lasts 30 seconds or more, he said.
“We run out of buildings,” Estrada said.
But the shock continues, and “the large stone size of the car” fell to the US 395, he said.
The California Highway Patrol said several cars were beaten by stone but had no injury.
Videos of drivers showed cars slowly navigating around the large beam of stones scattered on the road.
At one point, Rockslides closed about 40 miles (64 kilometers) from the interstate, the main route through the North Sierra Nevada, but the road reopened a few hours later.

“All of our shops vibrate,” said Brittany Oswald, who worked at the store shop.
“I just stood there and held the table, and waited it to end.” Seismic waves were launched across the eastern Sierra – where thousands of people camped and climbed in the national forest – west through the California Agricultural Center Valley and felt around 250 miles away in San Francisco.
Sacramento also felt trembling and so was Las Vegas, around the same distance southeast of Walker.
“People in the area must expect aftershocks for days after this measurement earthquake,” said Jason Ballman with the center of the South California earthquake at the University of Southern California.
Reports of damage or injury may not be available for days because many shocks feel in remote areas, Ballman warns.
The earthquake occurred along the Valley Antelope error, which extended across the country’s line near Topaz Lake.
The earthquake was not uncommon there, said Seismologist.
