Panaji: With the state polls almost three months away, BJP faced his first test as a former CM Lax Phone Pareskar and Mandrem MLA Dairand Sopte had locked the horn for the mandrem seat.
On Monday, Sopte officially launched his poll campaign for the 2022 election which was surprising by the Parsekar.
With the ticket distribution it has not begun, SOPTE’s move was seen in the political circles as a message to the Brass Party that he was ready for the fight.
But a fighting petsekar, who remained steadfast in his fight decision, rejected him and said: “Those who think they have obstacles on their journey must start working early, that’s the reason someone has started a campaign.” In 2017, parskar, then CM, lost assembly selection with more than 7,000 votes for Sopte Congress.
In 2018, Sopte joined BJP and they had been open about their differences.
“If someone says that the ticket has been allocated to him, or that he has gained a green signal, it is a blatant lie.
I relate to the people concerned including members of the Parliament Board, BJP National President, and the BJP National Secretary General (Organization ), “said Parsekar.
Sopte, meanwhile, said everyone had to work together for the next two and a half months to strengthen the party and show the power of BJP in Mandrem to CM Pramod Sawant, President of the State Party Sadanand Shet Tanavade and Secretary General (Organization) Satish Dhond.
In August this year, in embarrassing to BJP, CM visits to Mandrem saw two heavy-class constituencies did not share the stage.
Parskar doesn’t just not appear on the event, but he also organizes his own functions.
However, Sawant tried to play it and said the parsekar would join the event later.
But used CM did not appear and in an indirect attack on Sopte, said people attended their functions without receiving money.
