Nagpur: Wine shops and bars in this district are reported to allow fewer extensions in timings such as opposing norms.
In accordance with the orders of the Corporation and the city collector of the Nagpur issued on October 21, the wine shop can still be open until 10:30 while the bar up to 12 midnight.
Wine shop owners expect an increase of time until 11pm according to relaxation which is permitted for various establishments by the state government.
An official from the Excise Ministry told TII, “according to the norm of the department, the wine shop cannot be allowed to remain open outside at 10:30 a.m.” According to the norm of the Excise Ministry, the bar is permitted to 1.30 in the morning.
But the collector has allowed the bar to keep open to 12 midnight.
Approval is given on the basis of proposals submitted by the Excise Ministry.
Officials from the department said that the bar had been allowed to 12 midnight according to the latest approval provided by the government.
The official said, “Restrictions are still in place given the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, we must follow the order of disaster management.” Previously, the wine shop and bar were allowed until 10 nights to follow the covid limitations.
In accordance with the revision of the guideline by the state government, Commissioner of the City of Radhakrishnan B and Collector Vimala R on October 20, publishes orders for implementing an increase in time of restaurants, hotels and restaurants to 12 midnight up to 11:00.
