Indian actress, writer and director Zoya Hussain may be far from Showbiz for almost four years, but his comeback in the ‘Grahan’ web series has allowed him to sunbathe in success.
The actress who received a warm welcome with Anurag Kashyap ‘Mukkaaz’, did not really facilitate this industry.
In the #Againstallodds section this week, Etimes deals with actresses that open how various things for him, and how he managed to remain relevant in showbiz.
How do you choose your script?
Honestly I don’t have the process set now.
I went to audition, or I have people telling me something …
whatever vibration with me, I believe my instincts and take part in.
I’m not really greedy about a good production house or long screen time.
What I care about is how an impact on my character.
Which needs to be significant.
I just want to spend well and become part of a good fairy tale.
Your last excursion has helped you strengthen the position on the webpace.
Will you be more voter about the project now?
Even before ‘Mukkabaz’, I reject many projects.
Honestly, as I shared before, I didn’t want to be forgotten, forgotten, and lost.
You can be an extraordinary actor, but it doesn’t have a good withdrawal value.
Because there are many projects made today, it is possible that I will get lost in the actor’s pool.
Sometimes voters have helped me keep my individuality despite recruiting myself.

It took a while to get all these visibility and recognition …
Yes, ‘Mukkabaz’ is a big break for me.
After that, being part of a film like ‘Laal Kapitaan’ and ‘Kaadan’ has helped prove my courage here.
I would say consistency is one of the big things that have helped me survive and remain relevant.
Even when the film didn’t work, the experience had helped me find more about me.
But yes, people here don’t really know me, they know my character, is therefore difficult because of financial obligations and responsibilities to survive.
At that time, remained motivated and keep myself a little challenging, because it easily became bitter, angry, and rice.
I was really very sad before ‘Mukkabaz’ for various reasons.

How do you handle your setbacks and failures?
Fortunately, I don’t have a big setback, reaction, or negativity in that.
So I’m lucky at least, people are always very good at me.
Are you happy with how things are for you?
I always float together.
And it has taught me a lot.
I was also rather aware of putting myself there because I didn’t know how this industry began.
I am happy even with work that has come up with my way.
And I really hope I keep working this way.
