Mumbai: Many people test positive Covid on the third wave requested by the omicron variant which is very translucent but the death rate is significantly lower than in the second wave, a senior state official said.
“CFR (case mortality rate) 0.07% is the lowest we have seen until now in a pandemic.

Even when the case fell to 11.6 lakh in May, death remained high at 28.683 with CFR increasing to 2.5%.
“We are not close to seeing death or critical cases in the third wave,” the official said.
Dr.
Rakesh Bhadade, was responsible for the ICU Hospital B Y L Nair, said patient scenes were panting or waiting for a stretcher to find the bed not seen in the third wave.
“Our bed residence was almost 20-25%,” he said, added that among ICU patients, the share of high incidental covid.
Covid incidental is when someone comes to treatment of several other diseases but tests the positive Koronavirus.
“Our death review shows that up to 70% are not related to covid and caused by heart disease, the existing kidneys,” he said.

Data from Mumbai showed that the death of 84% in January was among senior citizens.
Among those who died, 86% have comorbidity.
Doctor Dr.
Gautam Bhansali said 30% -40% of Covid ICU beds in most private hospitals were not inhabited.
“We have seven ICU patients but most are there because of age-related comorbidity,” he said.
He, however, warned that the elderly people who compromised immunity must continue to cover and avoid crowded places.
“Anyone who has continuous fever for more than three days must consult a doctor,” he added.
