Agitation will continue; Some problems are still delayed: Farmer leaders

New Delhi: Farmers will continue with the scheduled program in the future, despite welcoming the central decision to revoke three controversial agricultural laws.
Darshan Pal Singh from Krantikari Kisan Union said that farmers would hold their Lucknow rally on November 22, a meeting to mark one year of agitation on November 26 and tractor rally to Parliament on November 29.
He said that problems such as MSP guarantees, withdrawal of cases against protesters, returned power bills 2020 and air quality procedures are still delayed, and agitation will continue until they are handled.
Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), a union umbrella body, earlier this month announced that 500 farmers would participate in the peaceful tractor marched to parliament every day during the winter session starting November 29.
Further decisions about these things are most likely taken at a meeting on Sunday.
“SKM will decide to call the Trolly March tractor to Parliament.
So far, there is no call to attract it.
The decision about this is likely to be taken on Sunday after the SKM Core Committee meeting,” Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ugrahan)) Joginder Singh Ugrahan leader.
He stressed that farmers would remain in Tikri and other borders until the center officially revoked this law in parliament.
He said many agricultural unions held separate meetings to reflect on agricultural problems and future strategies after the announcement of the Friday Prime Minister.
Union leader Bharatiya Kisan Tikait Rakesh also said that agitation would not be called until the law was officially canceled through a parliamentary procedure.
Thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh under the aegis from various trade unions have protested at the border of the national capital since November last year to request revocation of three agricultural laws.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced the center would revoke three agricultural laws.
