Agra: 100 foreign students from 31 countries to learn Hindi

Agra: A total of 100 foreign students from 31 countries have registered at the Central Hindi Institute in Agra to learn Hindi this year.
For the first time, students from Ecuador, Salvador, Sweden and Turkmenistan will be part of the course throughout the year.
Last year, 85 students from 20 countries have submitted an application in the Institute and many have taken online classes.
Diploma courses – which have 100 government-funded seats for foreign students – have been running for the past 48 years.
The Director of the Institute, Dr.
Beura Sharma, said, “We accept 120 applications from various countries to enter the course.
Finally, 100 candidates from 31 selected countries to enter.
After the orientation program, the class will begin in August.
For now, teaching mode Will be online.
“Students registered in the course also receive a scholarship of 6,000 per month.
The Ministry of Development of Human Resources is considering providing scholarships to foreign students while attending online classes too.
From the selected students this year, 62 are women.
At the age of 30, the maximum number of students came from Afghanistan, 10 came from Tajikistan, seven of Russia, five of them from Morocco and Sri Lanka, four of them from Japan and China, three of Poland, two of each from Columbia, Hungary, Hungary, Romania, South Korea, Turkmenistan, Mongolia and Trinidad and Tobago and each of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Guyana, Egypt, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Vietnam, Salvador, Kazakhstan and Mexico.
Jogendra Meena, Head of the International Hindi Education Department, said students from foreign countries have shown interest in courses even during a pandemic.
“This is the first time the application was received from 31 countries.
It clearly shows an increase in Hindi’s range.”
