Agra: Nine police have been suspended after the death of 10 people due to consumption of alleged false liquor in Uttar Pradesh Regency, police officials said on Thursday.
The police have confirmed that four people were killed after consuming fake liquor and said the investigation was to ensure the reason behind the death of six others.

At the end of Wednesday night, the police said the forensic report of the four men they sent to test confirmed liquor poisoning.
“Nine police personnel, including three shos and six policemen, have been suspended for the incident.
We have also sent recommendations to act against guilty excise officers and police to the government,” Director General of Police, Agra, Rajeev Krishna.
said.
He said, “Reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory confirmed the existence of methyl alcohol in four viscera samples sent for testing”.
Thus the four men died after consuming false liquor, he added.
Ten people died in Agra in the last four days after consuming liquor, family members have said.
Four deaths were reported in Deoria village and two deaths in Garhi Jahan Village in the Shamsabad area in the district.
Four people died in Kaulera Kalan Village and Barkula after consuming liquor, family members said.
People say fake liquor is easily available in villages and urges administration to crack down on them.
Officer three house stations (shos) against whom the action was taken from the Taj Ganj, Shamsabad and Dauki region, police said.
