The total stretch of 16 km in three locations has been selected for the project which is part of the initiative “herbal belt” Uttar Pradesh.

According to officials of the Public Works Department (Agra), 610 herbal puppies will be planted on three roads connecting rural areas to the city of Agra.
While 170 puppies will be planted at the Bichpuri-Achnera Road, the road will get 190 puppies and Shamshabad-Rajakhera Road will get 250 puppies.
Chief Engineers PWD Satya Prakash told TII they will start by planting Peepal Puppies, BlackBerry India (Jamun), Neem and Mulbere next week.
“In addition to landscape beauty, these trees will help reduce pollution caused by vehicles.
Herbal trees will also provide raw materials for Ayurvedic drugs and prevent soil erosion,” he said.
Every young tree will be covered by an iron tree guard to protect them from wild animals, said PWD Yogesh Pawar supervisor.
“The Herbal Road project is an environmentally friendly initiative from the state government.
The task has been assigned to officials to ensure adequate child care,” he said.
