Ahmedabad: National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has signed an agreement to supply material and put tracks and work related to the path and for high-speed double lines between Vadodara and Vapi.
NHSRCL executes high-speed rail corridors for Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet trains.
The agreement was signed on Friday with Ircon International.
The Less Ballast Slab Track System from Japanese bullet train, Shinkansen, will be used for India’s first high railroad projects.
Japan Railway Track Consultant (JRTC) has provided a detailed design and image of the main high speed track tracks such as RC Track Bed, Track Slab Ratement, and Continuous Welded Rail.
Satish Agnihotri, NHSRCL implementing director, said: “We have received support from our Japanese partners in a very effective way.” He added: “I appreciate the technical support expanded by JICC, JARTS, and JRTC for the high-speed rail project Mumbai-ahmedabad.” The Minister of Economy and Development, Japanese Embassy in India, Miyamoto Shingo, said that on the occasion: “In this agreement, Indian contractors will receive Japanese Shinkansen technology transfers that will provide a big boost on the Make In India initiative.” A new contract for tracks is a giant step for the project.
Contracts for the construction of corridors and bridges and the elevated stations have been given.
