Coimbatory: District administration has urged agricultural graduates who are idle to start a business that utilizes 50% of investment subsidies provided by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The state government has launched an initiative to develop entrepreneurship among Agri graduates in 37 villages in Coimbatore.
Graduates can take activities such as fungal agriculture, organic fertilizer production, agricultural equipment rentals, procurement of fruits and retail businesses and service centers for drip irrigation equipment.
Those who are interested can approach the Director of the Joint Department of Agriculture.
Graduates must be in the 21-40 age category.
They need to submit a proposal to a fee of 2 lakh, where the state government will provide up to 1 lakh as a subsidy.
A committee led by Coimbatore collectors will choose candidates.
Applicants must attach a copy of the Mark X and XII list, certificate of degree, aadhaar and bank account details.
