Jammu: Union State Minister for Jitendra Singh Science & Technology on Sunday said the central government provided a special boost for agricultural startup and that India experienced a period of golden agriculture under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Attending the conclusion ceremony of the regional agricultural exhibition five days north-2021 in the Jammu SkuasT, the Minister said, “This is a period of gold agriculture in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and technology intervention, research and innovation on agriculture under his leadership will double the income of farmers in the year 2022.
“Singh said that PM seriousness to agricultural development in India could be judged from the fact that two new ministries, Jal Shakti and the development of skills & entrepreneurship, had been made specifically to promote agriculture.
Singh said that agricultural and agricultural production has been revolutionized in India under the current government, which is evident from various initiatives taken for farmers’ well-being such as soil health cards, Urea coated Neem, PM facial Bima Yojana, e -nam, etc.
Calculating development initiatives taken at J & K Vis-à-Vis agriculture and innovation, Singh said that the formation of the first North Indian biotechnology park, two high seed processing plants in Kathua, and the launch of India’s first aroma mission will open new vistas growth, opportunities and Innovation in Agriculture in Jammu.
Speaking to farmers who attended the occasion, Singh stressed that a farmer can now be involved in various activities depending on capacity and resources.
He stated that the government facilitated farmers in all possible ways to achieve financial prosperity.
The minister further said that proactive outreach to start is the need for hours to get the best mind for product promotion at the national and international level.
