NEW DELHI: The fantasy of a self-reliant and electronic India will likely be gleaned from taking over the farm industry, Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar said on Tuesday.
The ministry also has taken concrete measures to get digitisation of their agriculture industry.
Tomar was talking during a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing service of the agriculture ministry together with four associations, an official announcement said.
These associations are all — Patanjali Organic Research Institute, Amazon Web Services (AWS), ESRI India Pvt Ltd, along with Agribazar India Pvt.
Ltd..
The MoUs have been signed using all these organisations for pilot job of utilizing Kisan Database since Aadhaar in a duration of one year.
The arrangement using ESRI is for establishing and launch of’National Agriculture Geo Hub’.
The MoU using Amazon Web Services is for production of electronic services and invention ecosystem connected with electronic agriculture from the agricultural value chain.
The arrangement using Agribazar is for cooperating with Department of Agriculture for pilot project at several countries (Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan) to market electronic agriculture.
An MoU was signed up with Patanjali for agricultural management and farmer support in 3 areas (Haridwar- Uttarakhand, Hamirpur- both Uttar Pradesh along with Moraina- Madhya Pradesh).
