Agriculture was held for rape & octogenarian murder

Coimbatore: A 46-year-old man has been arrested for raping and killing a 80-year-old woman in her farmhouse in a village near Animalai here on Thursday night under the influence of alcohol.
Police Animalai identified the allegations as Ponnusamy, an agriculture from the village of Ganapaphipalayam in their jurisdiction.
A police officer said the old woman lived with her 40 year old daughter and a 50-year-law in a farmhouse.
“They took care of 20 hectares of agriculture.
The incident occurred when his daughter and his daughter went to the nearest village on Thursday night.” Ponnusamy, the officer said, working on an agricultural land adjacent to the old woman property.
“He walked past his property on a decisive day of being drunk and realized that the woman was alone in his house.
He entered the house and raped him.
When the elderly woman became unconscious, he left the place immediately, leaving sandals and towels behind.” When The daughter of the woman and her daughter-in-law returned at night, they found her dead and told the police Animalai, who sent a corpse to a government hospital in pollmortem for postmortem.
“They then found a towel and a pair of sandals, which we found owned by Ponnusamy during the investigation.
We picked him up on Friday and he claimed to be a crime,” the officer said.
The police then registered a case against Ponnusamy under section 376 (a) from the Criminal Code and arrested him.
He was produced before the District Court, which returned it in the custody of the judiciary on the same night.
