T’puram: Rajalakshmi T, a 79-year-old Brahmin woman from Palakkad worked hard to take her business to another level.
The products include pickles and other food products made in the Brahmana style and it does not include oil and vinegar.
Instead of oil, he uses butter.
He began ‘Amba Brahmins Food Product’ at the age of 16.
Rajalakshmi was a participant Agro Fest 2021 in the Thycaud Police Parade Ground.
Various food products are exhibited at around 120 kiosks.
Agro Fest is organized by the Directorate of Industry and Trade as part of the government’s goal to promote the industrial sector through the scheme of ‘One Panchayat One Product’.
Expo provides opportunities for food producers in the state to introduce their products to people.
Geetha Salesh, another participant, is a blind woman aimed at providing good-value-added products from Curcumin.
This is an additional ready-to-eat food which includes curcumin and dated.
“I, together with my assistant, manufacturing this product.
I hope this opportunity will give us more exposure to the market,” he said.
As part of the ‘One Pancrayat One Product’ scheme, each district has chosen a product.
For Thiruvananthapuram, tapioca.
‘Nripans’, a food producing company, displays value-added products from tapioca, including chips and mixes.
Likewise, the product of the Alappuzha district is rice and there is a kiosk that displays rice varieties from Alappuzha and rice powder.
“This exhibition will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to introduce their products to people.
A large number of people came to the Expo and the entrepreneurs were very happy about it.
The sales also went well,” K Shibu said, industrial officers.
Expo will conclude on Monday.
