Ahmedabad: In a drive conducted by the Ahmedabad District Administration on Monday for the prevention and control of the disease transmitted through vectors, the team found 925 crushed mosquito breeding sites.
About 1,600 people with alleged symptoms tested malaria, but no positive tested.
The 772 team inspects in 466 villages where 40 medical officers and 40 Ayush officers have participated together with staff of around 916.
Around 1,200 Asha workers also roamed the home-to-home survey.
This initiative is part of the encouragement of countries on Monday for diseases transmitted through vectors where the team found more than 51,000 breeding sites and questioned more than 37,000 people for symptoms.
The drive will continue on Tuesday, the health department official said.
