Ahmedabad: Those who ordered a covishield slot on Monday must stay at home.
The Civic body health department has run out of Covishield vaccine stock on Sunday after 49,934 Amadavadis was given their shots.
On Sunday 158 functional vaccination centers.
Also, the civilian body vaccinated 49,934 amdavadis on Sunday which is one of the highest to date.
“One can try in some private hospitals who manage the dose of covishield or just wait until Tuesday,” said Senior Senior Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) told toi.
The Civic Body plans to manage the second dose of Covaxin at 11 centers including New Vejalpur UHC near Jivraj Bridge, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hall in Bodakdev, Tagore Hall in Paldi and the Chandkheda Community Health Center in the western part of the city.
“Drive vaccination is specially held in various city zones including for 300 autorickshaw drivers in the South West Zone, nearly 14,000 traders, shop owners, industry cluster workers and offices throughout the city,” said a senior AMC official.
AMC officials claimed that they might have to wait for a fresh vaccine for two days before they could set the cluster vaccination drive.
“We plan to reach offices, housing communities only if we get enough stock,” AMC health officials added.
