Ahmedabad: The process of filing offers from national and international consultants to prepare a road map for the offer of Ahmedabad for the 2036 Olympics which ended on Monday.
According to the pre-bidding meeting last week, Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda) claimed about eight institutions attending his last meeting, while two other institutions showed interest.
Auda will begin the process of analyzing bidding documents from Tuesday night.
Auda, Apex City Urban Planning Agency, has invited proposals from consultants to assess the place and infrastructure needed to host the game on June 8 this year.
The Olympic game center will be the upcoming 4.118 crore RS SVP Sports Enclave on the banks of the river near the village of Bhat.
The main pre-meeting meeting held on June 18, saw a handful of consulting companies that had offices in Europe, the US and India approaching Auda to participate in offers.
“While most documents have been delivered in a digital format, it might happen that some documents face technical errors.
Because of this, we have fixed Tuesday where physical files can be brought to give everyone a fair opportunity,” said a senior Auda official.
The winning consultant will assess the gym and nonseport and city infrastructure to organize the Olympics and identify the options for host cities for the Olympics.
A Auda official told TOI that the choice of consultants would be very important because after preparing a road map, the second main task was to be involved in ‘sustainable and targeted dialogue’ for the Olympic offer and in accordance with the IOC rules, the Olympic Charter, and IOC code of ethics.
The Gujarat government proposal sent to the Union of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs said that special purpose vehicles (SPV) will be formed will expect for generous funding.
“They will collaborate with Auda.
The government’s shares of the centers for funding will be 30% -70% or 50% respectively,” said an urban development department official.
The official added, “We also explore the possibility of drawing 1,100 crore in private investment.”
