Ahmedabad: After getting a number of complaints about the collecting door garbage to the irregular door and the opening of dirt and waste from the streets, the Civic’s solid waste department has begun to track this complaint, to ensure that the institution and employees assigned their jobs are responding immediately.
A senior AMC official claimed that around 2,300 complaints were archived in November from all cities, where the 960-odd complaints came from the West Zone.
“About 250 strange complaints in the West Zone were submitted from the Navrangpura Ward.
The next number of complaints is from the North West Zone,” A Senior AMC official said.
He added that during the past month, the van collection of garbage door-to-door was being monitored and every complaint was being marked.
“We are studying complaints patterns, because the institutions involved claim that they have visited areas where complaints are being accepted.
The dedicated team assesses this complaint,” the official said.
Regarding the nature of complaints, the official admitted, “There are complaints, especially from Navrangpura wards, Paldi and Vadaaj, that vans do not reach certain communities for two or three days.
This is not possible, we must examine the truth of complaints,” the official added.
