Ahmedabad: Senior Manager of the Health Insurance Company has filed a complaint to the police Navrangpura which states that three people have produced a fake bill to make three different claims of Rs 27.9 lakh.
He said all bills came from Bubiaagar Hospital.
The complainant is Santosh gange from a health insurance company based in Mumbai.
He filed a complaint on Friday.
He said that his company had a branch at CG Road.
Gange stated that in 2021 Nirajkumar Patel, a resident of Surendranagar, has taken policy from his company.
Gange said in FIR that Patel was treated at Apollo Prime Multispecialty Hospital in Bubungaagar for Covid-19 treatment between May 3 and May 8 last year.
That year, according to Patel’s claim, he was again treated at the same hospital between May 18 and May 19.
Then, a claim was filed with a hospital document.
In the first claim, the number of Rs 6.53 lakh was temporarily on the other hand, it was Rs 2.97 lakh.
Gange said that the bill was sent to be investigated and when his company official went to the hospital pharmacy for their verification of refuse bills.
He said a lab called White Cross also refused to share relevant reports for verification.
The claim was rejected and nothing was paid to Patel.
Meanwhile the company found that Pranay Bhatt, a nicol resident, has also taken care for lung infections in the same hospital.
Bhatt has continued the claim of Rs 5.07 lakh for himself and Rs 13.33 lakh for his wife Anita for Covid care.
Gange said that Bhatt made payments online for himself and his wife.
Gange says that pharmacies and laboratories once again refuse to work together in the verification process.
Insurance companies have issued a notification of performances to Bhatt.
However, the company made a payment to Bhatt before the verification protocol was complete.
Because of the hose, the company has suffered a loss of Rs 18.33 lakh.
Police Navrangpura has registered a case against Bhatts and Patel.
Police have requested the Indian Criminal Code 465 (forgery), 467 (valuable security forgery), 468 (forgery for cheating purposes), and 471 (using fake documents as genuine).
