Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health department team conducted a random inspection for the Covid-19 vaccine certificate in party plots and community space where wedding meetings were held and vaccination 121 people.
“We did a randomized check in 16 party plots and community spaces where the wedding ceremony or meeting was held.
We found 121 people who were not vaccinated or had not taken their second dose.
Our team gave them a vaccine on the spot,” said an AMC health department official.
The highest number of people given by the vaccine at such a meeting was in the North AMC zone, which consisted of regions such as Sardenagar, Krishnagar, Sijpur, Naroda and Kubernagar.
“We vaccinated 40 people in the North Zone, 29 people in the central zone and 17 each in the South and Western zone,” the official said and added that the Civic body would continue to examine marriage.
From January 16, the beginning of the AMC vaccination drive, Civic’s body had provided 79.96,297 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
