Ahmedabad: In an effort to get a refund of Rs 750 for his shirt, which was not delivered, a young man lost Rs 72,727 to cyber fraudsters.
Sahil Dholakia, 21, a flat resident of Umang in Bubaagar had his complaint on Thursday stated that he had ordered a shirt from social media applications from Fashchic-15 and even paid Rs 750 in advance.
The complainant stated that he did not get the shipment of a shirt and therefore he asked for a refund of his money he had paid.
He contacts customer service on the number listed on the Company’s page.
He stated that later to process a refund, people in customer service made various transactions from their accounts and took Rs 72,727.
Sahil has submitted a complaint to the police Bubiaagar who has registered a case of cheating and violations of trust and then investigating this problem.
In another complaint Akshay Thakar, 28, a resident of Krishna Apartment in his complaint was registered on Thursday at Bubiaagar who stated that one Mitesh Patel, a resident of Anand had cheated him from RS 3.5 Lakh with a false promise to get a work permit visa for Canada.
He was asked to pay Rs 3.5 Lakh as a 50% advance to get a visa.
He paid the money to Patel on July 30, but he had not received any visa until now.
