Ahmedabad: City on Thursday reported 20 new Covid-19 cases, the highest number in eight days.
On December 8, Ahmedabad recording 23 cases.
25 cases recorded on December 7 are the highest number of this month.
With the discharge of nine patients, active cases increased 11 to 159, across 150-mark again.
With Gujarat has 580 active cases – the highest number in five months – Ahmedabad accounts for 27% or more than four active cases of the country.
Six patients were in the ventilator.
At the age of 68, the number of cases recorded in 24 hours rose 28% from 53 on Wednesday.
New cases include 20 of the city of Ahmedabad, 12 of the city of Vadodara, nine of the city of Letters, seven of Rajkot City, five of each of Gandhinagar and Navsari, three of the city of Jamnagar, two of each of Kutch and Valsad, and one from Bharuch and Rajkot District.
The city accounts for 75% of cases.
“The number of tests conducted to identify cases also increased, and also conducted a confirmed case search.
We do not get many examples where many same family members are infected.
However, the need for hours given the increase in cases is to ensure the appropriate behavior of Covid,” said a community health expert based in the city.
